MyGiftAid.com - Terms and Conditions

Eproductive Limited, whose registered office is at 200 Strand, London WC2R1DJ (Registered   Company No.4076548) (“Eproductive”), operates www.MyGiftAid.com (the "Website").

These are the general Terms and Conditions which govern your use of the Website, whether as a guest or a registered user. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. If you do not wish to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, you should not continue to use or access the Website.

These Terms and Conditions may change or be updated from time to time. It remains your responsibility to access and check these Terms and Conditions whenever you access the Website. The latest version of these Terms and Conditions will govern any future usage by you of the Website.

About the charities featured on the Website

Every charity featured has a contractual agreement with Eproductive authorizing Eproductive to feature those organisations on the Website.

However, Eproductive is not responsible for any complaint you may have regarding those charities’ websites to which you may link from MyGiftAid.com.

About Gift Aid on Donated Goods

UK charities are entitled to a 25% tax reclaim from the Inland Revenue on donations made by UK taxpayers who participate in that charity’s gift aid scheme.

When you donate goods and subscribe to a charity’s gift aid scheme, you will be asked to confirm to the charity whether or not you are a UK taxpayer. Please note that tax can only be reclaimed on donations made by individuals who pay UK income or capital gains tax at least equal to the amount reclaimed on their donations in the current tax year. If you have any questions please contact the charities to which you donate goods.

If you pay UK tax at the higher rate, you can reclaim tax relief on your gross donation at 20% (i.e. the difference between the higher rate of UK tax at 40% and the basic rate at 20%). For example, in that situation, if you give £100 (after commission and VAT) the charity can reclaim an extra £25 and you can reclaim another £25. As a result, a £100 gift worth £125 to your favourite charity only costs you £75 (only if you are a higher rate UK tax payer).

The Gift Aid scheme is unique to the UK. If you are not a UK taxpayer, you can still make a donation to the charity but your donation will not attract the 25% plus the transitional tax reclaim for the charity.
